Humble beginnings

Perseverance is failing nineteen times and succeeding the twentieth.
— Julie Andrews
Hey, my story is not very exciting, courageous but it’s about how I worked hard, persevered through injuries, put my blood, sweat and tears into pushing past my mental boundaries and becoming a healthier, happier and more successful human being. The beginning of 2018, I was an overweight, excessive drinker and over eater. I had problems with my mental health, constant mood swings was extremely anti social and avoided new interactions at all costs. However, I changed my life for the better. I lost over 20 kg in under 4 months, however it wasn’t as simple as it sounds. I suffered numerous injuries to my body along the course of this 4 month period. Multiple groin, hamstring and ankle injuries tried to knock me off the path to becoming a much healthier and happier human being. These injuries never stopped me, it fuelled my passion to overcome this weight loss journey that I was so desperate to achieve as I was tired of the fact my body wasn’t able to keep up with certain activities due to the damage I had done to it across the years of unhealthy eating and no physical activities. Doing this helped me push through my mental boundaries as well in areas such as my education and come out with grades that my teachers didn’t at all expect, as I had been failing all my subjects in the mock exams that occurred throughout the school year. Throughout the due course of this blog I will be creating posts and articles catering to people who were in the same situation as me at the beginning of 2018 and are looking to change their life for the better. If you are looking to break bad habits, push past your boundaries and overcome many mental blocks you have in your life right now stay tuned for the upcoming posts and articles on the methods exactly how to do that!
